Just a few weeks ago, the Celo Governance Proposal 96 (CGP-0096) passed with an impressive approval rate of 99.6% 🗳️. If you’re interested in the details of the governance process and the full proposal, you can find them here.

CGP-0096 was crafted by real people who listened to community feedback and have actively contributed to the Celo mission, the web3 community, and relevant causes in their ecosystems. These are the kind of people who bridge opportunities and make things happen. They firmly believe that focusing on local communities first can have a positive impact on a global scale 🌎.

We celebrate trust and opportunity as we unveil our new street name:

KnktDAO: The name derives from the Esperanto word “Konekti” which means “to connect”. Our mission is to work tirelessly to bring together developers, entrepreneurs, and opportunities to nurture and grow the LatAm ecosystem.

Now, let’s address the three fundamental questions:

• Why are we here? We firmly believe that empowering local communities is the key to unlocking meaningful and impactful blockchain-based solutions for real-world problems.
• How can we act on this purpose? We will accomplish our mission by energizing three verticals:
• 1. Seeding opportunities through collaborations such as education initiatives and hackathons.
• 2. Accelerating solutions through technological and business support.
• 3. Igniting debates and keeping the community well-informed.
• What are we? We are your very own Venture Studio within the Celo Ecosystem! Exciting, isn’t it? Although there are a few more steps to take on the governance execution side before we can fully launch, we wanted to take this moment to say hello and share our enthusiasm with you.
